Our Purpose

The purpose of Milledgeville Cares, Inc. shall be to provide a means whereby service agencies, as well as faith-based institutions, can efficiently work together providing basic necessities, emotional support, and information sessions, as needed, in a time of challenge, and opportunity.

PROVIDING SAFE, QUALITY AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR FAMILIES

The Milledgeville Housing Authority [MHA] is a public housing authority chartered under the laws of the State of Georgia in 1957. MHA is governmental in nature, but is not a part of the general city or county government. MHA owns and manages a citywide portfolio of approximately 316 units. MHA provides more than a place to live by offering residents the opportunity to participate in educational, recreational and community programs, as well as job training programs.

Overview’s Mission is to identify problems, provide services and operate programs in an effort to enable elderly and economically disadvantaged citizens to achieve self-sufficiency

Home Delivered Meals

The Home Deliver Meal Program provides one nutritious meal Monday – Friday to homebound seniors ages 60 and older through the HCBS Home Deliver Meal Program.
